Terms Of Service

These are the terms under which we quote for and carry out work. They are written plainly on purpose. If anything here does not match what you were told on the phone, what you were told on the phone is what we will honour.

Please have this reviewed. This page was drafted as a starting point that matches how the site actually works. It is not legal advice. Have an attorney check it against your registered entity and insurance before you publish.

Quotes and prices

A price we give you over the phone or on WhatsApp is based on what you describe and on any photographs you send. It is a firm price for that job as described.

The crew checks the job against the quote before starting. If there is materially more than was described, or access turns out to be significantly harder, they will tell you the revised figure and you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing is loaded, cut or switched on first and priced afterwards.

Quotes are valid for thirty days. There is no charge for quoting and no call out fee.

What we will not take

We are not licensed for hazardous waste. We cannot accept:

  • Asbestos in any form
  • Medical waste, needles or laboratory material
  • Wet paint, solvents, thinners and pool acid
  • Used oil, fuel, gas bottles and car batteries
  • Tyres in bulk, unless arranged in advance

If we find any of these on site we will set them aside, tell you, and point you at a licensed handler. We cannot remove them for you.

Access and your responsibilities

You need to make sure we can actually reach the job. That means arranging gate access, booking a goods lift or loading bay where a building requires it, and telling us about height restrictions, weight limits on estate roads or rules about working hours.

Please make sure anything you want to keep is separated or clearly marked before we arrive. Once you have confirmed a quote and pointed at what must go, we work to that. We will always stop and ask if something looks doubtful, but we cannot be responsible for an item that was in the pile you told us to clear.

If you will not be on site, someone must give the crew access and the price must be agreed in writing beforehand.

Scheduled services

Garden, pool and recycling work runs on a fixed visit day with an allocated team. If a visit falls on a public holiday, or weather makes the work pointless or unsafe, we will move it and tell you.

Monthly scheduled services run month to month. Either of us can end them with thirty days written notice. There is no lock in period.

Payment

Once off work is payable on completion by card, cash or immediate transfer.

Approved accounts for body corporates, managing agents and businesses are invoiced monthly on thirty day terms. We may suspend work on an account that falls more than sixty days overdue, after telling you first.

Cancellations

Cancel or move a booking at any time before the crew is dispatched and there is no charge.

If the crew arrives at an agreed time and cannot get access, or the job has been cancelled without telling us, we may charge a call out fee to cover the trip. We will always try to reach you first.

Damage and liability

Our crews are careful, they protect floors on the way out and they will tell you immediately if something is damaged. If we damage your property through our negligence, we will put it right or compensate you fairly.

We are not liable for pre existing damage, for damage that could not reasonably be avoided in order to remove a large item through a tight space where you asked us to proceed, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Before you publish: confirm your public liability insurance cover and state the insured amount here.

Disposal

Everything we remove is sorted and taken to licensed sites, buyers or charities. Title in what we remove passes to us once it is loaded, which is what allows us to donate or recycle it.

We can provide written disposal confirmation on request. Tell us before the job if you need it.

Complaints

Phone us first on 074 556 6965. Most things are fixed by sending the crew back the same week, and we would rather do that than argue about it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and nothing in them limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

Let us clear your erf.

Send a photo and the suburb. You get a fixed price back and a date, usually within the hour.
