About

Started with a bakkie

Erf began as a junk removal outfit in Randburg. The services grew because customers kept asking the same question: since you are already here, can you not also do the garden, the pool, the bins and the cars?

How we work

Small promises, kept

This trade has a reputation, and it was earned. Quotes that change on the day. Crews that do not arrive. Waste that ends up on a verge two streets away. We built the business around not doing those three things.

  • The price is agreed before anything is loaded, cut or switched on
  • The crew phones when they are close, so you are not waiting all morning
  • Everything goes to a licensed site, and we can prove it in writing
  • If a job is not one we should be doing, we say so and point you elsewhere

Where it goes

Reuse, recycle, then landfill

Every load gets sorted before it gets dumped. Furniture that still has life goes to local charities and shelters. Metal, cardboard and e-waste go to buyers who pay for them. Clean rubble goes to crushing yards that turn it back into fill.

What is left is the only part that reaches a licensed landfill, and we can send you the disposal slip for it.

  • Reuse
  • Recycle
  • Then landfill

The fleet

The right vehicle, first time

Sending a small bakkie to a big job costs you two call outs and costs us a wasted afternoon. We match the vehicle to the load at quoting stage so the job finishes in one visit.

Bakkie and trailer

Single items, garden refuse and the jobs that need to fit through a complex boom without drama. Up to about five cubic metres of loose volume.

Four and eight ton trucks

House clearances, office strip outs and warehouse stock, where volume is the problem rather than weight. Eight to twenty cubic metres a load.

Tippers and skips

Builders rubble, concrete and demolition waste, where weight decides what is legal to carry. Weighed and taken direct to licensed rubble sites.

The crew

Who arrives at your gate

Every crew member is employed, uniformed and briefed on the site before they arrive. For complexes and estates we send names, identity numbers and vehicle registrations ahead so the gate is not a problem.

Employed, not day labour

Permanent crews who know the equipment and the routes, which is why the same faces come back to your site each week.

Vetted and identifiable

Uniforms, branded vehicles and details sent ahead for gate registration. You always know who is on the property and why.

A supervisor who answers

Scheduled sites get a named supervisor with a direct number, so a problem does not have to go through a call centre to be fixed.

Complexes and office parks

Book a site visit

For a complex or an office park we walk the property with you, put together a proper scope and price it service by service, so the trustees can compare it against what they pay now.
